This is the replacement for the obsolete Alan Midland 456R. The new G8 comes with Desktop drop-in charger and batteries!
The new Midland G8 Radio is pre-set with emergency function activated. If you press the EMG button to transmit an emergency call, you can talk to all G8 radios in range. The default emergency channel is P8 + DCS50 but the user can define their own. The emergency channel is always ''dual-watched'' together with the channel in use. If the EMG button is pressed twice this confims all radios within range/if you are out of range.
